Arise Fashion Week 2019 held their 6th edition in Lagos last week and didn't not disappoint as designers from across the globe turned out to showcase their new collections. Famous faces like Naomi Campbell and Liya Kebede took to the runway and there were even star-studded performances from Wizkid and Wande Cole.

When it comes to the love of prints, more is most certainly more. Designs on the runway were a symphony of colour, pattern and form. All traditional rules were broken, and we approve this brave, bold and beautiful new world.
One colour fits all
At the opposite end of the spectrum, past the monochromatic efforts, it was drama in a solid colour where texture and composition did all the talking.
Had the smoking jacket been given the chance to evolve, before health and safety made it redundant, these offering would without a doubt be the classy descendants.

When androgyny has been executed to perfection the results are exquisite, covetable pieces that can be enjoyed by all.
A few of our favourites included Ituen Basi’s humorous t-shirt “Dear George, I am not doing again, LDA’s drama, originality and femininity - just the way we love our evening wear, and it was all in the execution for Nkwo.
