To launch her SS26 collection, IAMISIGO presented a re-see of her Copenhagen Fashion Week debut, staging a seraphic installation that revisits the Scramble for Africa.
A DUAL MANDATE IS BORN
Featuring a grand tablescape adorned with glimmering glass objects amid opulent arrangements of functional and semi-functional forms, the scene was anchored by a cake in the shape of Africa, poised to be sliced—a symbolic act that both recalls and reclaims histories of division and extraction, now reimagined for her children and no other.
AN OTHERWORLDLY PERFORMANCE
Performance artist Sheila Chukwulozie led a troupe of fifteen entities, each adorned in IAMISIGO’s SS26 collection as extensions of the outfits, animating and embodying the inherent character of each piece. Sponsored by Moët and Chandon, the magical evening held an electric atmosphere and was well enjoyed by a fashion-forward guest list from home and abroad.
