Established in London in 2013 by Han Chong, Self-Portrait has become synonymous with empowering modern women through the functional day and night dressing. Garnering a devout following over the years, it has become the go-to brand for occasion wear.

For the Pre-Fall/22 collection, the designer introduces a refined approach to dressing in the springtime. The collection focuses on clean silhouettes with voluminous lace detailing and figure-hugging knitwear styles offered in a palette of pastels, vivid hues, and more muted tones.

"When designing the collection, I thought a lot about the joys of springtime when I knew the pieces would be delivered in stores. I wanted to create a happy, grown-up collection focused on clean silhouettes with strong bold colors” says Han Chong.

The Collection features evening wear in full-length knitwear and mini dresses in a vibrant happy-making palette, ranging from long-sleeved power dresses for the office to a strapless bright lime green for the club.

Chong had in mind that his customer base shop for many weddings and other special events around the Pre-Fall season. He looked to continue temporizing the brand's classic silhouettes. The little black dress is given an update with a sensuous bow-inspired bodice and flared sleeves. A floral dress is accentuated with lace trim around the bodice and waist, adding definition to a timeless silhouette. Chong envisioned these dresses being something you could easily slip on and go. The Collection also offers casual knitwear and everyday separates for the daytime.

The campaign continues the visual narrative of capturing and celebrating the different sides of the Self-Portrait woman. Starring in Self-Portrait's Pre-Fall 2022 Campaign, Russian supermodel Irina Shayk returns after her debut with the brand last year.

Captured by photographer Carlijn Jacobs in New York, Chong says “I wanted to shift our campaign into something that felt strong, powerful, and clean to represent the joy and confidence associated with our brand and to celebrate the spirit at the heart of this new collection. Irina is the perfect woman for us - she has so much character and personality and can show the different sides of the self-portrait woman so effortlessly.

The Pre-Fall collection is now available to shop at Temple Muse.
