The sustainable contemporary brand is the brainchild of a Fashion Editor and Celebrity Fashion Stylist, Muftau Femi Ajose who developed his love for fashion at a very young age.” I grew up with the love of dressing people, and started my career in fashion by interning with a fashion week in Lagos and then got booked as an assistant stylist at Africa Fashion week in 2014”. Femi has gone on to style other fashion weeks such as GT Fashion Week, SA Menswear week, Arise Fashion week and Lagos Fashion Week.

In 2019, Femi launched his fashion brand “Cute-Saint” to tell the under-told African narrative, while bridging the gap between “Luxury and Affordability”. He prioritized ethical practices while working with local artisans in sourcing natural fibres and creating the signature batik for which the brand has been known.
He has also served as the Fashion Editor for Escape Magazine, Lead Groom Stylist for The Wardrobe Manager, Assistant Creative Director at Agatha Moreno, and worked for several other local and international fashion brands like Julien MacDonalds, Ituen Basi, and Laquan Smith amongst others.
His latest collection, “Our Mother’s Pride”, examines the life of marginalized people in Africa with a lens on the LGBTQIA+ community; their existence, history, lifestyle, struggles and emergence.

It seeks to celebrate the lives of every human being that society has forced to live in fear, those who have broken the norm by speaking out, and those who have continued to fight for the freedom and protection of all lives.
The collection features bright colours and symbols as a motif that signifies diversity, cutouts, waves and structures. “Our Mother’s Pride” launches exclusively with a unique installation at Temple Muse on Saturday, 25th June.
