The Designer Beach Clubs to Know This Summer

Something shifted this summer. The beach club, long the Mediterranean's most coveted address, has become fashion's newest stage. From Capri to Bodrum, Portofino to Monte Carlo, luxury maisons have transformed shorelines into fully branded worlds. These are six of the season's standout destinations.

DIOR × IL RICCIO — Capri

The Dioriviera returns to Capri's dramatic coastline, where Il Riccio once again becomes home to Dior's summer world. This season also marks Jonathan Anderson's first Dioriviera collection since becoming the house's creative director.

The collection introduces soft nautical stripes and playful bows, inspired by Christian Bérard, one of Christian Dior's closest collaborators. Draped across Il Riccio's terraces, loungers and parasols overlooking the Blue Grotto, the designs bring Dior's unmistakable summer identity to one of Capri's most iconic seaside destinations, where fresh sea urchins and sweeping Mediterranean views remain part of the experience.

GUCCI × LA ROSE DES VENTS — Monte Carlo

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Flora motif, originally created by Vittorio Accornero as a gift for Princess Grace of Monaco, Gucci has returned to where the story began.

At La Rose des Vents beach club in Larvotto, the house's signature floral print transforms the seaside setting, appearing across loungers, parasols, towels and tableware in Flora's original palette of vibrant pink, green and red. It is a full-circle celebration of one of fashion's most enduring prints, set against the glamour of the French Riviera.

JACQUEMUS × MANDARIN ORIENTAL BODRUM -Turkey

After Mykonos last year, Jacquemus has moved east to the Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, taking over Blue Beach with its signature monochrome stripes.

The attention to detail tells the story. Paddle boards, backgammon sets, beach buggies and more have all been personalised. A 100-square-metre boutique stocks the Resort 2026 Plage collection, while the Aegean provides the perfect backdrop.

DOLCE & GABBANA × LE CARILLON — Portofino

The house's most restrained takeover to date. Le Carillon, tucked into the preserved bay of Paraggi just outside Portofino, is reimagined this summer in Verde Maiolica, with white motifs layered over an intense green inspired by the crystal waters and pine-covered hillsides of the Ligurian coast.

A pop-up restaurant and boutique complete the experience. The result is unmistakably Dolce & Gabbana, expressed with a lighter touch.

BURBERRY × ONE & ONLY AESTHESIS — Athens Riviera

The most unexpected addition to this summer's lineup, Burberry has arrived on the Athens Riviera, one of the Mediterranean's fastest-rising destinations, taking over the beach club and pool at One&Only Aesthesis.

The house's signature check, reimagined in summer colours, appears across parasols, cushions and outdoor spaces. Tailor-made experiences, including water skiing, complement the takeover. A traditional British house in a distinctly Mediterranean setting, and an unexpectedly natural fit.

JNCQUOI BEACH CLUB — Comporta, Portugal

The only new-build on this list, and perhaps the most intriguing. JNcQuoi, the Portuguese hospitality group behind some of Lisbon's most considered addresses, has opened on Comporta's Atlantic shore in a space designed by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen.

The aesthetic is quietly refined. Ninety minutes south of Lisbon, through pine forests and rice paddies, Comporta has long been called the Hamptons of Europe. It feels like the beach club the destination has been waiting for.

The beach club has always been a place to be seen. This summer, it has also become a place to experience fashion, where the destination is as considered as the wardrobe.
